Deborah Pounds Bio

In 2002, Deborah Pounds started her career in behavioral health. Ms. Pounds is a respected mental health and addiction therapist. She graduated from the University of Dayton with a Masters Degree in Education with a concentration in Community Counseling. Ms. Pounds is Licensed as an Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor -Clinical Supervisor. She additionally holds a License as a Professional Counselor.

Ms. Pounds has 18 years of experience in addictions counseling. She specializes in Opioid Use Disorders. Ms. Pounds was employed at Maryhaven in Columbus, Ohio for 14 years. She served as the supervisor of the Opioid Treatment Program for 8 years. Ms. Pounds overseen the treatment provided to clients who were prescribed Methadone, Buprenorphine and Vivitrol for Alcohol and Opioid Use Disorders.

Ms. Pounds currently has been the owner and CEO of Arizona Counseling & Consultation Services located in Columbus, Ohio for 5 years. She provides Medication Assisted Treatment services to individuals with opioid, alcohol and other substance use disorders. In addition she provides Mental Health Counseling and Case Management. Ms. Pounds also provides consulting services to local substance use disorder treatment programs starting medication assisted programs.
